An old Mimika Stone Axe. A large and highly polished black stone blade fitted to a socketed holder that has the ability to turn allowing this axe to also be used as an adze. Wonderful sculptural form for a purely utilitarian object. Rich glossy patina from extensive use; in excellent condition. Presented on a custom made display stand.
